We are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Teaching Assistant. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about education and eager to embark on a rewarding career journey in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will undergo comprehensive online courses covering essential topics such as working in schools, supporting students with SEND, and safeguarding within educational settings. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through 5 days of paid work experience within a SEND or Alternative Provision setting, providing valuable insights into the day-to-day responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant. Throughout your training, you will receive guidance and mentorship from experienced educators, equipping you with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in a supportive learning environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a genuine interest in working with children, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn and grow. This is an exciting opportunity to kickstart your educational career and make a positive impact on the lives of students with SEND.

Alternative Provisions offer specialized education and support for students who may struggle in mainstream settings due to behavioural, emotional, or academic challenges. PRUs provide education for students who have been excluded from mainstream schools or who require additional support to reintegrate into mainstream education. This broad spectrum of schools will equip you with valuable experience to take with you on your career in education.
