We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our residential care facility. As a Grade 3 Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure our residents' physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care and support to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Assisting with medication administration and ensuring proper documentation.
- Supporting residents with their daily activities, such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and recreational activities.
- Monitoring residents' health and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Building positive relationships with residents and their families, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected and met.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
- Following all health and safety protocols and ensuring the safety and well-being of residents at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a care or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
