Role Overview Sort Team Manager Location: Hatfield Salary: £30,618 per annum (plus 20% night shift allowance) Shift pattern: 5 days out of 7 including weekends Hours: 40 hours per week - 17:30-02:00 Contract: Permanent What you'll be doing As a Team Manager in our Sort operation you'll support the operation through the co-ordination and close control of our parcel processing activity to achieve the timely, safe and efficient distribution of parcels, whilst maintaining the highest of standards of site performance at all times, in line with Company procedures. You're part of our essential management team, therefore you'll provide leadership to our Team Leaders and hardworking Sort staff including the allocation of colleagues to tasks, supervision of performance standards and identification and resolution of operational or staffing problems through the Sort centre management chain. You'll work closely with all other Team Managers and Sort managers to ensure continuity of operational efficiency in the Hatfield sort centre. What you need to show us The successful Team Manager will have previous experience in leading a team and working in a fast-paced distribution, parcel, or logistics environment, with a solid understanding of relevant health and safety regulations. The ideal Team Manager will possess the following skills and experience: Have proficient IT skills and ideally create reports in their current role You will have the ability to communicate confidently and effectively Have experience dealing with HR cases Have a minimum of 1 years' experience working as a Team Leader or Team Manager Ideally IOSH trained.
