Are you an experienced financial professional contractor looking for a role in the new year? We have an exciting opportunity for an Interim Financial Controller in the Bath area for a private sector, rapidly growing business.
Role Details:
* Location: Bath
* Hybrid/ office working: 2-3 days per week on-site - flexible on days
* Duration: 3-6 months, starting ideally December 2024 for the month-end process
* Interviews: As soon as next week via Teams
* Competitive daily rate available
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the solid number 2 to the current Head of Finance
* Take full ownership and control of the month-end process from January to March 2025
* Manage a team of 5 (1 Financial Accountant, 1 Credit Controller, and 3 Management Accountants)
* Support the transition to a new permanent hire in 2025
* Assist with year-end matters and audit queries from March to June 2025
* Seeking a personable & flexible interim contractor who can hit the ground running and support a busy period in a junior/new team
Required Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller/ Finance Manager or similar role
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
* Experience managing month-end and year-end processes
* Excellent leadership and team management skills
* Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office
* Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred
