About Us:
What More UK Ltd is a leading manufacturer of plastic and bakeware products, with operations in coating lines and a partnership with a local football club. We’re seeking an experienced Group Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement across manufacturing, coating processes, and football retail, ensuring a smooth supply chain.
Role Overview:
The Group Purchasing Manager will manage procurement for manufacturing, coating, and football club operations, including sourcing raw materials, packaging, football kits, and retail stock. You’ll liaise with suppliers, handle imports, and collaborate with internal teams to meet production and retail needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Development & Purchasing: Source materials, manage imports, ensure timely supply, and collaborate with production teams.
2. Supplier Liaison: Work with paint and coating suppliers, align procurement with business goals.
3. Quality Control: Ensure products meet quality and compliance standards.
4. Retail Procurement for Football Club: Source football kits, apparel, and manage stock for the club shop.
5. Cross-Department Collaboration: Align procurement with marketing, sales, and production needs.
6. Budget & Inventory Management: Manage procurement budgets and monitor inventory levels.
7. Supplier Negotiations & Performance: Negotiate pricing and develop supplier relationships to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
Key Requirements:
1. Proven experience in a senior procurement role, preferably in manufacturing or retail.
2. Strong understanding of import/export processes and international procurement.
3. Experience sourcing materials for coating lines and managing quality control.
4. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
5. Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
6. Degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred.
