Position: Technical sales engineer Location: Lancashire Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 DOE I am currently working with a well-established and highly respected manufacturer with over 50 years of experience in providing bespoke machinery solutions across various industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their team and bring in an experienced engineer. The business prides itself on designing and manufacturing all its machinery in-house, ensuring tailored solutions to meet the specific needs of each client. The Role: In this role, your key responsibilities will include: • Managing customer enquiries and providing detailed design proposals and quotations. • Carrying out thorough diligence on customer requirements and maintaining clear communication throughout. • Advising clients on how to optimise the use of equipment for maximum performance and efficiency. • Following up on quotations to ensure customer satisfaction and assisting them through the decision-making process. • Collaborating closely with the design, production, and engineering teams to ensure client needs are met. Key Requirements: • A strong engineering background, with the ability to engage confidently with engineers and understand the technical aspects of products and services. • A degree in engineering or a related field. • 10 years of experience in a relevant engineering discipline. • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a solid understanding of engineering principles. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with customers and internal teams. • Ideally, experience in the bulk solids handling industry.
