University Chef
* Location: Brighton
* Salary: £24,000 per annum
* Contract: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
* Working Hours: 07:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Chef to join a vibrant team at a well-regarded university in Brighton. In this role, you'll work in a supportive, dynamic environment, contributing to daily catering services for students. You'll be part of a close-knit kitchen team, working alongside another chef and the catering manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook meals for students, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
* Support the Manager in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen organisation.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and work areas.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations during term time.
About You:
* A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
* Experience in a similar kitchen role.
* Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and under pressure.
* Passion for cooking and working in an educational environment.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions carefully.
