The Role: Head of Maintenance

The Role
The Head of Maintenance for the group is a true leadership role. I am keen to speak to candidates who have extensive experience across large multi-site hospitality businesses. You will lead, develop and inspire a team of Regional Maintenance Managers and the Helpdesk function, taking accountability for a multi-million pound budget across Planned and Reactive maintenance. Working in close collaboration with the Operations teams, your mission will be to keep sites in tip-top condition ensuring excellent service and value for money.

You will need an entrepreneurial spirit, commercial and financial acumen and the ability to think big in terms of the whole estate. You will have technical knowledge and experience working with CAFM Systems. You’ll be a fantastic communicator and be passionate about building great relationships with people
Key Responsibilities:
* Own the Maintenance service level and cost of service to the business
* Work with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver Scheduled and Unscheduled Maintenance to budget
* Manage the weekly team rotas, including out of hours and weekend cover, to provide effective support to the Operations Team, 7 days a week.
* Manage, develop and coach the RMM’s through diary planning, weekly team calls, joint site visits, the P&L review process and how to deal with escalations and investigations.
* Ownership of contractor performance, including commercials and KPI’s/SLA, through day to day service delivery and periodic reviews, where necessary challenging contractor competitiveness.
* Support New Site Openings, working with the Build Team through the various phases of the post-opening snagging review.
* Prepare Capex requests with the RMMs and attend the periodic Capex review meeting with the Group MD, Property Director and Head of Risk & Compliance.

There will be extensive UK travel with this role, so a clean driving license is a must. The incoming candidate will need to be in Bristol at least 2 days per week.
