Job title: Specialty Doctor in Microbiology Contract: 12-months fixed-term, with CESR support Location: London, Greater London Salary: £55,825 – £90,000 a year pro rata per annum Additional information: We’re looking for a Specialty Doctor in Microbiology to join an established NHS Medical Microbiology service in London. The Speciality doctor will join the team in the provision of clinical services in Medical Microbiology, working closely with the Consultants and other clinical and laboratory staff. The successful applicant will be expected to authorise specimens under the supervision of a Consultant. They will be expected to liaise with other doctors within the hospital to discuss results and to provide clinical advice, again under the supervision of a consultant. There will be regular attendance of antibiotic stewardship ward rounds as part of the stewardship team. CESR support can be offered to applicants wanting to pursue this pathway to GMC-specialist registration. Required to Apply: Applicants must have GMC registration or be eligible to join the register within 6-months.
