Position: Cook 2 (17/112)
Location: Dalbeattie Learning Campus
Salary: £14,223.93 - £14,464.24
You will be required to work 25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.
Schedule: Monday - Friday (Times to be discussed at interview)
Hourly Rate: £13.18 per hour (temporary living wage applies)
Role Overview: Cook 2 required to assist the Catering Manager of a large school kitchen.
Qualifications: You must have a year's supervisory experience as well as cooking skills/experience. You must have the ability to motivate and direct a small team and work on your own initiative.
Responsibilities:
1. Organising the day-to-day running of the kitchen
2. Ordering of supplies
3. Control of portion sizes
4. Rota management
5. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

7. Approach problem management with ease
8. Deal with any complaints

Applicants for teaching posts must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS), Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT in the appropriate sector.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
