Project Description
High-Performance Computing is entering a revolutionary phase characterized by Exascale capabilities, allowing for numerically intensive processes to address foundational questions in physics. The TELOS collaboration, co-led by Swansea University and The University of Edinburgh, focuses on new gauge theories that address challenges in Frontier Physics, such as dark matter and electroweak symmetry breaking.
The candidate will lead the development, testing, and benchmarking of new pre-exascale ready software for studying new physics scenarios, performing high precision numerical studies of strongly coupled field theories, and utilizing supercomputing resources at both institutions.
This joint PhD programme offers a mobility programme for scientific and training opportunities at both institutions, fostering a vibrant, international research community.
