Our four-year program me begins with two years in a designated team, where you will gain hands - on experience, a fter which, there may be the opportunity to explore other t eams within Investment Operations and further broaden your knowledge and experience across this business area. Along with learning and completing the daily tasks within the team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in projects that help us enhance our processes and gain exposure to new technologies and applications. You will have lots of potential to grow and develop and we will support you a t each stage in your journey. What might a day in this job look like? There will be a variety of tasks and responsibilities in your role which might include: Keeping our clients ’ information up to date: You will p lay a n important role in ensuring our client data is always accurate, helping us maintain strong client relationships. Dealing with internal and external counterparties : Working with different counterparties, both within and outside the company, build ing connections and developing your communication skills. Query Management: Tak ing charge o f resolving queries. T his may be managing the team ’ s email inbox, answering queries and problem solving Performing accounting reconciliations: C heck ing that the data we provide is accurate and correct. Participating in team projects and meetings: Get ting i nvolved in exciting projects and meetings, where your ideas and contributions will help improve our processes. Working with colleagues to enhance the service we provide to our clients: Team up with colleagues to improve the services we offer, making a real impact on client satisfaction. What will I l earn? The apprenticeship programme will provide a mixture of classroom - based and on - the - job training to allow you to achieve a n SVQ in Customer Service in Financial Services at SCQF Level 6. You will also be expected to sit and pass the Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) modules during the first two years of your apprenticeship. This will be a combination of technical training to do your job to the best of your ability, professional skills courses, and the opportunity to learn about the investment management industry. What Qualifications / Qualities are ? Excellent communication skills Ability to build strong relationships Strong client focus The ability to work well in a team A positive attitude and enthusiastic manner Good organisation and time management skills The ability to work methodically and accurately A National 5 in Maths and English, or equivalent, as a minimum Due to the nature of the learning pathway, the role is an on-site position, based in our Edinburgh office.
