As the Preterm Specialist Midwife, you will:
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to enhance preterm birth & multiple pregnancy pathways.
• Lead the provision of preterm birth clinics, offering expert advice across NWAFT in line withElement 5 of the Saving Babies Lives Care Bundle.
• Conduct audits & lead quality improvement (QI) projects to enhance service delivery.
• Communicate complex information effectively to women & their families, ensuring clarity and compassion.
• Act as a care navigator, ensuring timely access to the appropriate care pathway while addressing barriers to antenatal care.
• Collaborate with maternal medicine, fetal medicine &multiples specialist teams to support patient safety.
• Partner with theMaternity and Neonatal Voice Partnership (MNVP)andLocal Maternity and Neonatal Systems (LMNS)to co-design equitable & supportive services for families.
We are seeking a midwife who:
• Has significant experience in antenatal & specialist midwifery care, particularly related to preterm birth &multiple pregnancies.
• Is passionate about addressing health inequalities & improving access to care for all women.
• Possesses strong leadership, communication & collaboration skills to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrates expertise in audit, research & quality improvement projects.
• Is committed to co-producing services with women, families & stakeholders.
