ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Agent-General for Queensland, and under the supervision of the Operations Manager, you will provide financial and administration assistance and general office support to internal and external stakeholders on behalf of TIQ Europe and the London office.
We would like the successful candidate to commence work in December 2024 or January 2025. This will enable a handover period with the departing officer.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Based in our London (Strand, Central London) office you will work under guidance of the Operations Manager to provide administration assistance and financial services to TIQ Europe. We are looking for someone who has an existing understanding and experience working on payroll, invoicing, UK pensions, budgeting and more. Experience working with either Queensland or Australia would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite.
To be successful you will:
1. Co-ordinate financial responsibilities for TIQ Europe including input of creditors invoices into Converga, onboarding new vendors and liaison with Corporate Services (Brisbane) to ensure payment process steps are completed
2. Liaise with International Payroll (Brisbane) to assist the Operations Manager to ensure accurate processing and completion of monthly salaries for employees through local payroll service providers, including processing of London employee pension payments
3. Accurate completion of manual cashbook for reporting to Corporate Services, ensure compliance with reconciliation of employee business travel, assist with monthly management account analysis and ongoing budget forecasts for TIQ Europe
4. As required, help with co-ordination of operations of the Business Centre, Queensland House including the online booking management system, up-keep of the Centre and provisions, and liaising with facilities management and service providers to operate the Centre
5. Monitor bank account for TIQ Europe, including annual reconciliation for audit, keep well-informed of Corporate Financial Management Procedures and systems to ensure compliance with TIQ policies
6. Assist with upkeep of Asset Register, monitoring contracts (communications, internet, office stationery) and with office building matters.
This role may require additional duties to be completed as directed
ARE YOU ELIGIBLE TO WORK FOR TIQ IN LONDON?
To be eligible for either role, you must:
* Work Authorisation – be a British citizen or a UK resident legally authorised to live and work in London at the time of appointment
* Language – have high - level written and spoken English
* Be willing to undertake a background check and be confirmed as suitable to access Government resources
Remuneration and Benefits
* £39,853 gross per annum
* Annual increment after positive performance review
* 25 days recreation leave, 15 days sick leave, 14 public holidays per year
