Position Title: Environmental Services Specialist II Position Status: Full Time Department: Environmental Health & Safety JOB SUMMARY The Environmental Services Specialist II is responsible for maintaining the appearance and condition of the facility and grounds, fire safety inspections and other services as deemed necessary by the supervisor. ESS II personnel will assume Lead role when required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Essential functions are duties, which are essential or primary to the position or the reason the position exists. Maintains cleanliness of the facility, fulfilling the requirements of the daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule. TCC Environmental Services Specialist II will also assist with job coaching and allowing Clean Hire Clients to shadow. Performs minor repairs to facility using hand and power tools in order to maintain functionality and interior appearance. Notifies Lead of any specialized or major repairs needing attention. Maintains exterior grounds such as litter removal, weed trimming, or upkeep of landscaping. Prepares conference rooms for scheduled meetings/activities. Responsible for inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies. Responsible for completing all necessary safety courses as offered through TCC. Provides technical support and guidance for the ESS I, and assists the ESS Lead positions. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS Secondary functions are duties, which are not exclusive of the position, can be performed by other positions; however, secondary duties are to be performed for the efficiency of The Counseling Center, Inc. Assists the ESS lead in carrying out tasks identified by management. Operating floor cleaning equipment. Provides ESS coverage determined by business need. COMPETENCIES Skill in the utilization of household cleaning equipment, supplies and maintenance tools including, but not limited to vacuum cleaner, kitchen appliances, hand and power tools, and lawn care gas powered equipment. Basic knowledge of vinyl composition tile (VCT). Ability to maintain accurate and timely records. Skills in the area of effective interpersonal communication. Ability to mentor ESS I personnel, and to work independently. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, INCLUDING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Prior Experience as an ESS I High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in the area of maintenance. Knowledge of addiction and recovery preferred. Maintains applicable agency trainings. Lifting up to 50lbs required.
