What are we looking for? We are currently looking to recruit an Administrator with some PA experience to support senior managers within the Court of Protection, Property & Affairs team. Where will you be based? This role will be based in our Manchester office, but we may expect you to travel and work from other offices from time to time. How many hours will you be working? This is a full-time role which is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday with an hour break for lunch. However at EMG Solicitors we work flexibly, it’s not a 9 to 5 role, but we do expect the work to be done, when you do it can be largely up to yourself, your Team Leader and the requirements of your clients. A brief overview of the role: This role works within the Court of Protection, Property & Affairs department. The main responsibilities of the role include supporting senior managers with diary management, emails, internal processes, client contact and team management (internal organization). About the Role Getting paid for the work you do. Support Managers to undertake fee earning work and provide a profitable contribution to the work of the department. Ensure the successful development of the department and of the firm in line with the business plan Ensure that Client’s needs are met as soon as possible and deal with any issues that arise for them Ensure that all tasks are managed in a timely and efficient manner You will ensure our clients and referrers receive the best possible service at all times. You'll look to cross sell services from other departments in the firm by identifying the appropriate opportunities. Dealing with incoming and outgoing post for the department, ensuring we have all documentation received from various parties involved in transactions To be able to perform this job you will need. An ability to work with integrity and professionalism and maintain confidentiality. Experience of being a personal assistant or in an equivalent role involving diary management, organisation of meetings and the provision of pro-active administrative support to senior colleagues You will need strong typing skills and be able to use Microsoft systems competently including Excel and Word. As well as have an understanding of email systems, portals and other IT as appropriate. A good standard of education is required, including good spoken and written English skills. The ability to pro-actively manage and organise meetings, including agenda setting, minute taking, follow up actions and cascading information whilst using one’s initiative and a high degree of independent thinking. You will need to be able to work well individually as well as part of a team. Ensuring that the firms procedures are always adhered to and followed, respecting client confidentiality at all times. You will need to be well motivated, demonstrate initiative and have a positive attitude. Along with having the confidence to inform the team leader of any serious problems you could encounter.
