Health Care Assistant - Primary Care Services

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week with 1 Saturday per month

Main Duties of the Job
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will assist the clinical team in the provision and delivery of a diverse range of community-based Planned Care Services, which currently include Intermediate Gynaecology, Phlebotomy, and Health checks.
The post holder will ensure HCA duties within the Primary Care Services division are carried out within FedBucks guidelines and policies.
The role will require travel to various NHS sites throughout the Bucks county, and a full driving licence with access to a vehicle is essential.

Job Responsibilities
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Processing and management of laboratory samples
* Surgical equipment and medicines restocking and stock rotation
* Overseeing clearing and restocking consulting rooms
* Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during, and after patient care interventions including assisting GPwSI and Consultants during clinics
* Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients' health and wellbeing
* Helping to raise awareness of health and wellbeing and how it can be promoted
* Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and wellbeing
* Contacting patients for appointment booking
* Administration as required
* Any additional and reasonable duties asked by the Management
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of chaperoning
* Experience of carrying out NHS Health Checks
Skills and Knowledge
* An understanding of GDPR and adherence to this always
* Willingness to be adaptable to change and new challenges
* Prior experience of working in healthcare is essential
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Computer literate with previous use of Microsoft systems preferable
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
