We are looking to recruit a permanent, full time Careers Service Regional Team Leader that will provide overall supervision and support to our Regional Information, Advice and Guidance team.
Reporting to the Careers Service National Manager you will provide operational management of our in-custody Careers Service across a number of prison establishments. The position will be responsible for managing and developing a team of IAG Advisors, providing training and overseeing the maintenance of accurate systems and processes and ensuring our service meets matrix, CDI and PeoplePlus quality expectations through regular system audits and reporting.
The role with work in partnership with our careers service suppliers and operational teams including Prison Allocation, Activity and Offender Management teams, PeoplePlus Skills team and Employer Engagement team to support localised relationships with national, regional and local employers to support the achievement of contract KPIs.
Within this role there is a requirement to work flexibly between HMP Deerbolt, HMP Durham, HMP Kirklevington Grange, HMP Holme House and HMP Low Newton. A full driving licence and access to own vehicle is therefore essential.
What we are looking for
* Level 4 Careers, Guidance and Development qualification
* Experience of contract delivery, to support development of individuals within a custodial setting
* Experience of driving development of careers/employability programmes of learning
* A passion to inspire, motivate and lead by experience to support achievement of qualifications and careers aspirations
* Confidence in using range of presentation & communication skills
