Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and passionate team player to manage products (portfolio) for a defined application and/or technology locally. Reporting to the Marketing Group Leader for the United Kingdom & Ireland, this position offers the opportunity to develop the portfolio for our UK & Ireland subsidiary. The ideal candidate will have a proactive mindset, a hands-on approach, and be flexible and dedicated to delivering results.
1. Contribute to the Local and EU Marketing Plan, including development and execution using all marketing tools, including digital activities. Base strategies on market and sales analysis, local business strategies, and new product launches.
2. Develop and implement local campaigns and lead generation projects in collaboration with the sales team. Contribute to market research activities by identifying target audiences, competitors, and market trends.
3. Conduct product/portfolio talks at external events, support conferences, scientific seminars, and customer events. Provide application-related talks, troubleshooting, training, and support to external customers and internal teams. Develop training content and presentations.
4. Act as a deputy for the account manager, respond to customer inquiries, create sales quotations, and update CRM data.
5. Manage customer collaborations with KOLs, test sites, or early adopters. Identify opportunities for large-scale and customized business and support key account projects.
6. Perform other marketing duties related to the product portfolio that match your knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
1. Minimum MSc in a life science discipline with a relevant scientific background.
2. At least 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a life science tools environment. Marketing or commercial experience is desirable.
3. Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills, comfortable in both face-to-face and virtual settings.
4. Positive energy, strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, a hands-on mentality, and perseverance.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, and content management systems.
6. Fluent in English with excellent business communication skills.
Additional Information
Your primary workplace will be home-based with UK & Ireland travel and some time at our office in Bisley, Surrey.
