Overview
We currently have an opportunity for a qualified Accountant to join our Reinsurance Legal Entity Control team in Glasgow due to continued business growth. As a Legal Entity Controller, you will assist in the delivery and central control of accurate and timely external reporting and audit whilst gaining an understanding of the reinsurance business at legal entity level.
How you'll make an impact:
1. Support with external financial reporting requirements for the international reinsurance division.
2. Preparation of statutory, regulatory, and board reporting of the international reinsurance entities.
3. Support with the set up and maintenance of a central statutory adjustment ledger for our international entities.
4. Investigation and documentation of accounting differences between local GAAP and US GAAP.
5. Work closely with our external auditors both in the UK and internationally during the audit process, coordinating where appropriate.
6. Build key relationships with the wider Finance and Tax teams and across our Reinsurance division internationally.
7. Support with ad-hoc projects.
About You:
1. Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CA/CIMA or equivalent).
2. UK GAAP/US GAAP/IFRS experience preferable.
3. Experience gained within a large accounting/audit firm is desirable.
4. Strong technical accounting skills.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
7. Eligible to work in the UK.
