Description Wood is recruiting for a Materials and Corrosion Engineer to join its specialist services team within the consulting business unit in the UK. The Role As a Materials and Corrosion Engineer, you will be responsible for reaching project completion, to the required specifications and on schedule. You will work alongside subject matter experts to shape and support the delivery, providing solid technical advice and solutions to our clients across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will be required to interface with oil and gas operators and Tier 1 engineering contractors, Renewables, Hydrogen transportation systems, carbon capture in support of greenfield and brownfield engineering projects. In the role you will work collaboratively with serval key stakeholders including both externally and internally where you will be required to have the capabilities to solve complex problems and help identify practical and technically sound solutions. Expected: Education to degree level in Materials / Metallurgy / Chemistry is preferred. Alternative tertiary education and suitable experience may be used to demonstrate equivalent standards Experience in the Oil & Gas or Energy industries preferably in a role which had a primary technical function requiring the provision of materials and corrosion engineering services A collaborative team member, with a proactive and outcome-driven approach A strong technical understanding with ability to comprehend complex issues and provide practical solutions Desirable: Chartered or working towards chartership with Engineering Council recognised institution
