Revit Tech Lead (M&E Consulting Engineering)

We are seeking an experienced Revit Tech Lead to join our M&E consulting engineering team. The successful candidate will lead the implementation, development, and maintenance of Revit standards and workflows across projects, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and efficient M&E designs. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to influence project success and drive innovation in the use of BIM technologies.
Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership
o Act as the primary Revit expert for M&E disciplines, providing guidance to teams on best practices, workflows, and standards.
o Lead the development, customization, and maintenance of Revit templates, libraries, and families specific to M&E services.
o Troubleshoot complex Revit issues and provide solutions to ensure project deadlines are met.
o Collaborate with project teams to establish BIM execution plans and ensure compliance with project requirements.
2. Team Support & Development
o Train and mentor team members in Revit and BIM methodologies to enhance overall team capability.
o Conduct regular quality checks on Revit models to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to standards.
o Provide support to engineers and designers during project delivery, ensuring that Revit models align with design intent.
o Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of M&E services.
o Facilitate clash detection and resolution processes using Revit and other coordination tools like Navisworks.
o Participate in multidisciplinary design meetings, representing the M&E Revit function.
3. Innovation & Process Improvement
o Identify opportunities to optimise Revit workflows and processes, implementing solutions that improve efficiency and productivity.
o Stay up to date with advancements in BIM and Revit technologies, introducing new tools and techniques to the team.
o Support the implementation of ISO 19650 standards and other relevant BIM frameworks.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Revit/BIM Technician in a relevant Building Services Engineering Field.
* Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems in building design.
* Proficiency in Revit, including family creation, worksharing, and advanced modelling techniques.
* Familiarity with coordination tools such as Navisworks and BIM 360.
* Knowledge of industry standards such as BS EN ISO 19650 and CIBSE/BSRIA guidelines.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Experience with Dynamo for Revit scripting and automation.
* Knowledge of other design tools like AutoCAD, StabiCAD or similar.
* Relevant certifications, such as Autodesk Revit Professional or similar.
