Electrical Installation & Commissioning Supervisor Senior required for a major offshore wind farm developer based in England.
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate amongst the electrical installation and commissioning supervisors to establish a high degree of trust.
2. Proactively establish and maintain good professional relationships with all stakeholders, especially main contractor's staff and workers, and internal stakeholders.
3. Facilitate day-to-day collaboration on site between contractors and internal stakeholders, ensuring efficient installation, electrical outfitting, testing, and commissioning.
4. Ensure quality in relation to workmanship, safety, and OSS outfitting during electrical installation.
5. Participate in day-to-day planning and supervision, including toolbox talks, site coordination meetings, installation work, and test & commissioning activities.
6. Ensure that commissioning within the defined technical area(s) is executed safely in accordance with industry standards and national legislation.
7. Coordinate and document testing and commissioning in accordance with accepted procedures.
8. Supervise and support compliance with project HSE rules and local legislation.
9. Report to the Electrical Installation and Commissioning Manager and follow up on contractors' deliverables within agreed scopes.
10. Support the commissioning manager in reviewing the outfitting, electrical installation, test, and commissioning schedule.
11. Perform day-to-day supervision and coordination between installation and commissioning contractors.
12. Support scope engineers in witnessing FAT.
13. Carry out supervision and quality assurance during site deliveries, outfitting, and electrical installation of LV, HVAC, HVDC, HVC, protection, SCADA, communication, mechanical, and safety systems.
14. Update back-office scope engineers on progress and quality of work and tests.
15. Witness SAT/OSAT, recording progress, punches, and NCRs, and report findings to the commissioning manager.
16. Coordinate and witness SIT, facilitating collaboration between contractors and recording progress, punches, and NCRs.
17. Ensure proper and timely maintenance of electrical and electromechanical systems after first energisation.
18. Implement necessary safety signs/notices, barriers, and other safety measures during commissioning.
19. Function as Low Voltage Appointed Person with Client Electrical Safety Rules, both offshore and onshore as required.
Requirements
1. Hands-on experience with the installation and commissioning of electrical and electromechanical equipment on onshore and/or offshore substations.
2. Experience with low voltage systems: Installation and commissioning of low voltage electrical distribution systems, both AC and DC, including UPSs, generators, and selectivity.
3. Experience with mechanical and automatic safety systems: Installation and commissioning of climate control systems, cranes, hoists, and automated fire safety systems.
4. Experience with high voltage AC systems: Installation and commissioning of high voltage transformers, >66 kV gas insulated switchgear, and high voltage protection systems.
5. Experience with high voltage DC systems: Installation and commissioning of high voltage transformers and converters, >66 kV gas insulated switchgear, and high voltage protection systems.
6. Experience with high voltage cables: HV cable support systems, and >66 kV cable pulling, cleating, terminating, connecting, and testing.
7. Experience with SCADA & Communication: Installation and commissioning of communication networks and related systems.
8. Completed degree or vocational training within electrical or marine engineering.
9. Advanced proficiency in English (speak, read, and write).
10. Excellent collaboration skills with stakeholders.
11. Valid UK working rights.
