Purpose of the Job
To work as a member of the Operation’s Underwriting Support team across Marine, Energy, Political Violence and Terrorism to ensure accurate and timely entry of exposure data. This is a Data Administrator, work from home-based role, with occasional need to travel to our London Office (for example, team meetings and training).
Reporting Relationships
* Reports directly to Aggregation Data Lead.
* Works in close co-operation with Underwriting team colleagues.
Job Responsibilities & Competence
* Review documents and schedules containing the insured’s address / location by using a variety of methods such as internet search engines.
* Perform the data cleansing, importation, and geo-coding of location level aggregate data, ensuring accuracy of the aggregate data.
* Act on exceptions and quality control reports in a timely manner to ensure accurate location details are maintained and up to date.
* Support Aggregation Data Lead in any reporting requirements.
* Liaise with Operations support team and manage daily queries via email and document management workflow.
* Compile data and conduct routine tasks to support Underwriters.
* Other ad hoc tasks aligned to International Operations.
* To be an advocate of future improvement initiatives including assessment of new technology and support the Digital and Data strategy.

* Ensures that all policies and procedures are adhered to including company Standard Operating Procedures.
* Adhere to any common standards set across the company and ensures that policies and procedures are adequately documented.
* Undertake continued Professional Development and comply with The Hartford procedures.

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle a variety of duties within a timely and accurate manner.

IT skills
Must be highly computer literate:
* Intermediate Excel and Word.
* Use of workflow and document repository systems.
* Use of Advantage Go Exact, Advantage Go Subscribe, or other Lloyd’s underwriting/aggregation systems an advantage but not essential.
Educational Requirements
* Minimum GCSE/O Level or relevant experience in an underwriting support role.
* Lloyd’s & London Market Introductory Test (LLMIT).

* FSA
Experience
* Training will be given but relevant Aggregation experience is preferable.
* Relevant experience of working for a Lloyd’s Syndicate/London Company specifically with Marine or Political Violence and Terrorism.
* Knowledge of Exact Advantage is preferable.
* Business level English and, at least, business fluency in the official language of the country of employment.
