Role Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and analytical Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in evaluating and enhancing our internal controls, risk management, and governance processes to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Audit Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive audit plans to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
2. Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate key risks within business processes and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
3. Process Evaluation: Analyze and assess business processes to identify areas for improvement and provide actionable recommendations.
4. Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations for management and stakeholders.
5. Follow-Up: Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and assess their effectiveness over time.
6. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Professional Certification: Part-qualified or fully qualified in ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
3. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably within the financial services sector.
4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
5. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex information clearly.
6. Integrity: High ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
7. Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
