Project Engineer: Structured cabling - (RL7667)
Our Client is looking for a Project Engineer with structured cabling experience related technology projects.
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 120 days (initially)
Pay Rate: £197.97/day - £228.43/day (PLEASE NOTE: Employer NI is paid for by the client)
Total Daily Earnings: £221.87/day - £256/day (includes rolled up holiday)
IR35 Status: Inside
Location: Slough
Profile:
* To provide assistance to Night Manager, line managing those employees directly assigned to the project(s) consistent with employee expectations, general company policy and best practice.
* To always operate with regards to the Health & Safety of employees and third parties, ensuring consistency with company and statutory obligations.
* To successfully manage customer projects to time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction objectives.
* To ensure that the projects are delivered in accordance with company and customer processes, procedures and statutory obligations, taking overall responsibility for project quality.
* To ensure that the necessary project practices are in place and used and developed to reflect recognised best practice.
* To ensure provision of timely and accurate internal and customer project reporting.
* To professionally always represent the company, protecting the company assets and its reputation.
* Attendance of Nightly briefing calls
* To assist the Night Manager in ensuring all resources have required paperwork, tools & materials to enable the works to be completed in accordance with Heathrow Health & Safety standards.
* To escalate any site incidents to Night Manager and Project Management team
* To work with and build relations with current installation teams & client Night Management
* To participate in any training that the company may from time to time, reasonably ask the incumbent to undergo, to achieve accreditations and qualifications that are deemed essential for the fulfilment of duties.
* To propose and champion innovations and improvements to the business and its processes.
* To deputise for Night Manager
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience of working at London Heathrow Airport is desirable.
* Previous experience in managing site teams in the structured cabling industry.
* Experience of Risk Assessments and Health & Safety working practices
* Knowledge required to manage a safe construction site, CITB SSSTS qualification or equivalent.
* Valid ECS health & safety card.
* Health & Safety CDM knowledge.
* Be familiar with industry standard testers and testing procedures.
* Excellent technical understanding of structured cabling design and technologies.
* You must be articulate, a self-starter, have strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and able to demonstrate experience in pragmatically solving problems.
Soft Skills:
* Flexible approach and ability to work co-operatively within a newly created team environment
* Should be a self-starter and be able to perform quality assurance and control to create technical deliverables that are error free/with minimal non-functional defects.
* Experience in operationally supporting large, complex technical environment.
* Methodical and structured in their approach to tasks.
* Capability to organise and prioritise tasks
* Strong interpersonal skills to establish/maintain relationships and interact with team members
* Strong organisation and time management skills
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
