We are looking for a Compliance Paralegal to join our Legal Compliance team. This role is ideal for a legally qualified professional with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach. You’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance across our global operations, working on due diligence, risk assessments, policy guidance, and training initiatives with the opportunity to travel.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct due diligence on agents, distributors, and other representatives, including reviewing questionnaires, verifying documents, conducting interviews, and assessing compliance risks.
2. Advise internal teams and third parties on our Third-Party Representative Compliance Program and related policies.
3. Maintain compliance data and ensure timely renewals and updates.
4. Perform online compliance screenings and media searches.
5. Provide guidance on key policies, including Gifts & Hospitality, Trade Sanctions, Competition law, Corporate Governance, and Data Protection.
6. Support compliance risk assessments, audits, investigations, and training initiatives.
7. Assist in reviewing and updating compliance-related documents, contracts, and policies.
8. Process compliance approvals in our ERP system and review third-party expenses.
9. Support export control checks and the company’s annual Conflict Minerals Assessment.
10. Collaborate with the Compliance Coordinator to manage online training and records.
Requirements
1. Legal qualification (e.g., law degree, LPC, CILEx)
2. At least 1+ year post-degree employment experience.
3. Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
4. Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
5. Proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
6. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
