In this established but growing service, your remit as the Registered Manager will be to continue to grow the provision to ensure they are helping as many children and families as possible. There will also be opportunities to lead on future development projects, as within the next couple of years they have exciting new plans to open a respite/residential home.
On offer, alongside the salary of £45,000 is a generous annual leave entitlement of 25 days plus bank holidays which increases after 5 years’ service, employee assistance and wellbeing programme, rewards and recognition scheme that includes gift voucher rewards for every member of the team when your service achieves Good or Outstanding CQC inspections, pension, life assurance and career-enhancing training.
In this tough social care recruitment market, they also have some great initiatives for attracting new frontline staff too, making your life easier when it comes to recruitment.
The Registered Manager Role
1. To lead and manage a high-quality social care service for children with learning or physical disabilities. They provide home care, community access and respite support, with a minimum visit time of 4 hours. This enables the family carers to have a break whilst the child or young person is safe, cared for and partaking in enjoyable activities.
2. To safeguard the children and young people that the service comes into contact with.
3. Be accountable for the financial performance of the service and that it is delivered within budget.
4. Grow the service organically within the North East.
5. Management of the staff team, ensuring that people comply with relevant legislation, systems and processes, and policies and procedures.
6. Ensure that CQC standards are being met and that a Good or Outstanding rating is achieved at inspection.
About you
1. You’ll need to be an experienced Deputy Manager or Registered Manager of a regulated social care service and have experience of supporting children and young people.
2. A background in children’s residential care and Ofsted knowledge would be advantageous in terms of their future plans for the service. Previous CQC exposure would be great but not essential.
3. You’ll be driven by a passion to deliver services for people with learning disabilities and physical disabilities that are truly person-centred and make a difference to people’s lives.
4. Ideally, you’ll hold QCF level 5 qualification in Leadership of Social Care but if not, as long as you are willing to work towards it, we can consider you.
