What this role is all about:
As a Vitality Nurse, you will be responsible for obtaining medical information on a variety of conditions, undertaking screenings and sample testing by means of blood, urine, and saliva. Additional services include Medical Telephone Questionnaires, Member Health Checks, and Wellness Day. Daily travel is required to customers’ homes or places of work covering a specific geographic area.
You will work a 37.5 hour week across 5 days with an alternating Saturday rota (shifts between 8-4, 12-8) and will be required to travel daily within your territory. A degree of flexibility is required. You will work as part of a team of professional Nurses and Office staff.
Key Actions:
1. Conduct client screening appointments at their home or work location.
2. When your schedule has availability, you will be allocated a range of Tele medical Interviews.
3. Liaise with customers, our underwriters, and operational team to promote health and wellbeing in a professional but informal manner.
4. Manage client expectations in line with company policies and procedures.
5. Plan, organize, and prioritize your workload/equipment to meet your day-to-day activities.
6. Work in collaboration with the concierge to manage your appointments and diary.
7. Take accountability of every case; conduct physical examinations and collect samples for insurance applicants and healthcare customers.
8. Promote good health.
What do you need to thrive?
1. Fully qualified nurse registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).
2. Full driving licence is essential.
3. Broad range of nursing experiences, medical knowledge, and experience in phlebotomy; competent to work independently.
4. Attention to detail – critical to remember the smallest details.
5. Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with great people/customer service skills.
6. Computer literate and able to work independently with drive, enthusiasm, and resilience.
7. Strong team working skills coupled with the ability to collaborate well.
8. Ability to manage many priorities in a fast-paced environment.
9. Polite, confident, and professional telephone manner.
10. Observation skills.
11. Empathy and sensitivity to clients’ needs and concerns.
12. Comfortable and confident in working remotely and independently.
13. Critical thinking – able to assess a situation and make decisions on the spot.
14. A keen desire to learn – curious mind and prepared for continual learning.
15. Active listener who can ask the right questions.
