A Theatre Practitioner who is NMC/HCPC registered.
Experienced in perioperative care, anaesthesia. If an ODP/Anaesthetic Practitioner and/or Scrub, Orthopaedic experience is preferred but not essential, training will be provided for the right candidates!

The candidate will take responsibility for coordinating the theatre department on a regular basis.
To support the Lead Nurse in the delivery of strategic and operational activity.
To co-ordinate a team of staff ensuring the delivery of the highest quality care, communicating effectively his/her clinical theoretical knowledge and expertise.
Communicating complex information effectively to other trust staff, to include information relevant to clinical theoretical knowledge and expertise.
The responsibility of the post holder is to undertake the assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individual care for theatre patients.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* 1st level registered nurse / Degree or Diploma in Operating dept. practice or equivalent
* First Line management Course
* Recognised teaching qualification i.e. Mentor preceptorship course D32/33 or ENB 997/998 teaching and assessing
* ENB176 Theatre nursing course or equivalent
* Equal opportunities course or a willingness to undertake.

Knowledge and awareness
* Knowledge of local/professional policies and procedures
* Knowledge of a wide range of theatre / anaesthetic work
* Knowledge and understanding of resource management

* Understanding the need for confidentiality
Experience
* Previous experience at band 5 or equivalent in Theatre /anaesthetics.
* Experience of standard setting, quality initiatives and audit
