Business Analyst
Duration: 6 months (initial), opportunity for 12 months extension
Daily Rate: £550 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Hybrid, 1 day a week in London and/or Manchester
Our client is looking for an IT Business Analyst with 5-7 years relevant experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record supporting pilot / MVP initiatives that scale into full-solution deployments. Strong expertise in Agile / Hybrid project management and a solid understanding of asset serialisation technologies, smart devices, IoT networks, and both cloud-based and on-premises systems are essential. Prior experience in the supply chain and transportation industries is highly desirable.
Purpose of the role:
To understand business requirements, processes, identify business technology and/or process, and information opportunities whilst working with business and Technology Services managers to develop, implement and maintain solutions which deliver business value within agreed timelines and budgets.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Elicits, analyses, and documents requirements (business, functional, and non-functional)
2. Works with key stakeholders to prioritize requirements most beneficial to the business
3. Ensures compliance with Global Technology Services strategies, enterprise architecture, and best practices as well as all relevant local/regional/global governmental regulations
4. Reinforce the project goals and objectives to prevent scope creep/gold plating
5. Recommends solution options which directly impact the success of a project or initiative
6. Effectively communicates with business stakeholders, project managers, product owners, systems analysts, developers, and quality assurance analysts to ensure requirements are clearly stated, buildable, and testable
7. Oversees the successful completion of User Acceptance Testing, tracking testing progress and defect resolution
Experiences:
1. 5-7 years business analysis experience
2. Experience within an IT focussed role
3. Waterfall, Hybrid, and Agile methodologies
4. Software delivery lifecycle
5. Proven success in improving the customer experience
6. Working within a matrix structure
7. Working remotely with globally scattered users and teams
8. Experience influencing others with limited/no direct authority
