We are delighted to be working with a market leading client in the recycling and sustainability sector, and are excited to share an opportunity for a Regional Environmental Partner to join their team in Stalybridge!
The Role
The Regional Environmental Partner will be responsible for advancing a culture of dynamic environmental stewardship by providing guidance and support to comply with both internal and external environmental regulatory requirements at the local, state, province, and federal levels - ensuring conformance to company environmental standards.
You'll also be responsible for facilitating the implementation of preferred environmental practices to protect the client's ability to operate and enhance their environmental position in the communities in which they operate.
Full-Time, Permanent
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
£35,000 - £40,000 pa
Key Accountabilities
1. Develop a strategic regional plan within the EHS management system for environment related standards, delivery systems, training, tools, and communication.
2. Drive implementation, monitoring of environmental strategic plans considering local standards aligned with regulatory requirements - including discharge, waste water, and emissions.
3. Develop, monitor and adjust regional environmental key performance indicators designed to measure continual progress with environmental goals.
4. Provide guidance and advice to regional leadership to enhance environmental performance.
5. Promote and facilitate company related environmental standards conformance.
6. Support internal and external environmental audits.
7. Support remediation projects and activities.
8. Monitor environmental regulations and industry standards.
9. Engage with stakeholders and community to address proactive environmental initiatives.
Skills & Experience
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in earth sciences or related fields OR equivalent industry experience.
- ISO 14001 would be preferential.
- Experience implementing workplace environmental regulations.
- Experience in recycling industry would be preferred.
Skills
- MS Office.
- Able to understand and interpret regulations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong relationship building and management skills.
