We are a small mixed ability vocal ensemble called the Mancunian Singers. We have been entertaining audiences in Greater Manchester since 1967. After 56 years, our fabulous founder and conductor decided to retire his baton. Along with him came the retirement of our beloved pianist of 30 years. We want to carry on singing together and delighting audiences for many more years to come.
We are a talented group; while 40% can't read music, the voices are on point, and we make a beautiful sound. We sing all our music from memory, so it's easy for you to put your stamp on it. We have a dedicated committee to handle everything in the background. Our Musical Director (MD) only needs to focus on running rehearsals, putting together set lists for our performances, and showcasing us at various performance opportunities.
We are happy to compensate, but initially, whilst we rebuild, we can only offer travel expenses. We rehearse Thursday evenings from 8 PM to 10 PM at the Monton Unitarian Church Hall, M30 9NX. If interested, please get in touch at Christine.Gibson@mancuniansingers.co.uk or visit our Facebook page.
