HGV TECHNICIANGreat opportunity to join a stable group who operate Nationwide in the UK and Europe!!Location of the HGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / LGV Technician / Plant Mechanic / Fleet Engineer: Widnes areaSalary for the HGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / LGV Technician / Plant Mechanic / Fleet Engineer: £41,000.00 - £46,000.00 (Negotiable dependent on experience) Plus overtime at 1.5 rateShifts available for the HGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / LGV Technician / Plant Mechanic / Fleet Engineer: 2 x shifts available to choose from 1) 4 on 4 off days (07:00am - 19:00pm) 2) Monday to Thursday Night Shift (18:00pm - 06:00am)My client, an innovative haulage business, that operates a nationwide fleet, are currently seeking a dedicated HGV Technician to join their team to perform essential maintenance and repairs on the fleet of over 1300 assets. This HGV Technician role is vital for ensuring vehicle reliability, compliance and safety standards in order for the company to keep customer satisfaction.Responsibilities of the HGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / LGV Technician / Plant Mechanic / Fleet Engineer: Service, maintain & repair tractor units and trailers to the minimum requirements of DVSA guidelines in line with company procedures.To accurately complete all relevant maintenance & compliance documentation to DVSA standards.Prepare vehicles / trailers for MOT inspections.Performance diagnostics and defect rectifications.Repairs to own fleet as required.Maintain workshop cleanliness & inventory.Working with colleagues and other departments to ensure a seamless service for customers.Skills required for the HGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / LGV Technician / Plant Mechanic / Fleet Engineer: Legislation on vehicle road worthiness / MOT and active management of such.Strong commitment and understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace.Driven by a desire to produce work of the highest quality & has a strong attention for detail.Ability to work to tight deadlines within a high pressure, customer and cost focused environment.Self-structured and highly organized.Adopt a flexible working approach and be a team player at all times.Requirements of the HGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / LGV Technician / Plant Mechanic / Fleet Engineer: Qualified Vehicle TechnicianHGV and trailer maintenance and repairTanker Experience - preferred but not essentialLGV License - preferred but not essentialADR License - preferred but not essentialIf this role sounds like a interesting role for you then please send your CV to Danica Baker at Sprint RecruitmentTPBN1_UKTJ
