What You'll Do
In this hands-on role, you'll:
* Perform reactive and planned maintenance tasks on plant, CNC machinery, and furnaces, ensuring minimal downtime.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in electrical control systems, PLCs, CNC drive systems, and temperature controllers.
* Work with mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic components, to maintain production equipment.
* Collaborate with suppliers, external contractors, and internal teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.
* Support the TPM scheme and execute Planned Preventative Maintenance to enhance production efficiency.
* Document maintenance activities using CMMS software and assist with spare parts management.
* Participate in plant installations, continuous improvement projects, and training for apprentices or understudies.
* Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a safe workplace.
What You'll Bring
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Experienced: Ideally apprentice-trained with a qualification such as HNC or BTEC in electrical/electronic engineering.
* Skilled in Maintenance: Practical experience working with CNC machinery, electrical control systems, and mechanical components.
* Qualified: IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge is desirable.
* Organised and Proactive: Strong planning and problem-solving abilities with a can-do attitude.
* Team-Oriented: Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with a team.

Hours of work: Basic hours of work are 37 hours per week, 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday (1/2-hour lunch) and 7:30am to 12:30pm on Friday.
