Are you an experienced Environmental Manager or Advisor looking to be part of a leading construction business in the North West?\n\nThe role for Environmental Manager \n\nThere is an exciting new opportunity to head up the environmental management systems & division to drive and maintain environmental processes and compliance for a leading main contractor and developer involving managing inspections and audit across several major construction projects.\n\nThe company are an award winning design & build contractor and developer that specialise in the construction of high end residential, commercial and education projects in excess of £250m in value. This is a fast-growing market leading business with an impressive pipeline of projects that can offer excellent career development opportunities.\n\nResponsibilities for Environmental Manager\n\nLead technical advise and strategic direction to senior leadership & board on environmental policy & best practice\nPlan and lead the internal environmental audit programme\nPlan and monitor the internal environmental inspection programme\nResponsible for implementing and driving the positive contribution of environmental site plans\nAssists departmental leads in the development of new and existing processes\nResponsible for continually improving the Environmental Management System\nResponsible for delivering quality training across the business in core environmental principles and the use of key environmental systems\nGenerate monthly reports on the business environmental status\nLead on regular environmental reviews\nAssess supply chain against environmental requirements\nExperience / Qualifications Required:\n\nBSc in Environmental science or management or relevant field\nExperience & background of quality & environmental management\nExperience of implementing & operating ISO 14001 management systems\nConfident communicator with the ability to lead, influence and communicate with peers, leadership teams and external consultants\nHigh levels of IT literacy and MS Suite proficiency\nIdeally membership of relevant body / accreditation\nHigh attention to detail\nExcellent organisation, time management & planning skills.\n \n Salary & Package on offer:\n\n£45,000 - £55,000 base salary dependent on level & experience\nCar allowance & mileage\nExcellent employer pension contribution up to 7%\nPrivate Healthcare\n26 days holiday + bank holidays and additional holiday purchase scheme.\nOther additional company benefits & perks
