Role: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Salary: 39,000 - 47,000 + Benefits

Are you an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a skilled individual to support the Project Surveyor with financial and contractual control on allocated contracts within the Southern Home Counties business unit. This position is project-based, with flexibility for occasional remote working.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with costing activities, utilizing a sound understanding of project cost coding structures.
2. Measure completed works for interim and final accounts, ensuring agreements with client and subcontractor representatives.
3. Provide detailed financial and surveying-related information to senior management, including performance reviews.
4. Collate and maintain accurate site records necessary for interim and final account payments and cost reports.
5. Support the preparation of project costings and ensure compliance with financial objectives.
6. Must have DFE (Department For Education) project experience.
Key Tasks:
1. Measure works for payment purposes and assist in preparing final accounts.
2. Maintain comprehensive records of materials received and works completed.
3. Assist in providing cost reports and forecasts for ongoing projects.
4. Collaborate with project teams to ensure financial objectives are met.
5. Work on projects across various disciplines, including Education and Healthcare, with a strong understanding of DfE and Design & Build projects.
Requirements:
1. Experience in the main contracting market, ideally within Education and Healthcare sectors.
2. Strong understanding of construction techniques and financial processes.
3. Relevant qualifications, such as a BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
4. Membership of a professional body (CIOB or RICS) preferred.
5. Excellent organizational skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a team.
