About the Role
As Mechanical Manager, you will take full responsibility for the Mechanical & Civil Engineering departments, leading a team of 23 staff and managing contractors when required. Your role will involve:
1. Overseeing mechanical and civil maintenance operations.
2. Managing mechanical project engineering within an industrial manufacturing setting.
3. Ensuring compliance with Safety, Health & Environmental regulations.
4. Utilizing Computerised Maintenance Management Systems effectively.
5. Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies such as the HSE and insurance inspectors.
Required Skills:
1. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a mechanical engineering role within an industrial manufacturing environment, including 5+ years in a supervisory position.
2. A HNC in Mechanical Engineering (degree).
3. Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
4. Excellent IT proficiency and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
