Job Title: Senior Town Planner
Location: Tunbridge Wells office
Role Type: Permanent, full-time role
Salary: £40,000-45,000 per annum, depending on experience
Job Overview:
A Senior Planner is needed to provide professional planning advice to external clients and multidisciplinary teams. This role involves preparing and managing a variety of planning applications while carrying a personal caseload with guidance from the team leader. The projects range from major residential and commercial developments to smaller rural schemes.

Qualifications and Skills:
* Degree in a relevant planning or related discipline (RTPI accredited)
* Chartered membership of RTPI is desirable; eligibility for membership will be considered
* Experience in development planning or management, ideally in public or private sectors
* Strong technical ability with a solid understanding of current planning issues
* Excellent written, verbal, numerical, and organizational skills
* Good team collaboration skills
* Commitment to delivering projects with attention to detail
* Commercial focus
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with the planning team to deliver a range of Planning and Development projects
* Produce and review high-quality planning reports, including development appraisals and planning statements
* Manage and negotiate planning submissions while collaborating with other disciplines
* Provide planning support across the business
* Handle client accounts with a strong focus on client care
* Assist in preparing fee proposals and tenders
* Build relationships to identify new work opportunities for the planning team
* Think creatively and logically to develop effective planning strategies
* Monitor project finances, control documents, and report on progress
* Attend events and meetings as required, including occasional out-of-hours commitments

* Must have the permanent right to work in the U.K.
* Full driving license and access to a vehicle
