Social-first Designer Job description: Linney is a world-class, multichannel marketing services business. We are looking for a passionate social-first designer to join our growing performance and social team, ideating and creating social-first content. The successful candidate will work with social media managers to conceptualise and design social-first creative, whether receiving a full design brief for a post, or leading on social posts from initial idea to final creative. They will be a social native, fully immersed in online culture and social media marketing, understanding that the role of social is as much to entertain as it is to advertise brands. Social media is fast-paced and we are looking for someone who can work to incredibly tight deadlines and be unflappable when a last-minute reactive content brief lands in their inbox. We'd expect candidates to be up to date with industry news and trends, knowing when carousels are the best content for LinkedIn or when a new platform feature lets you create a quirky new type of content. They will know that quality is subjective and that a well-crafted meme can generate as much engagement as a painstakingly designed illustrative social post. They will strive for the highest standards in everything they do. Essential experience and skills: A deep understanding of internet culture and all social media platforms Ability to work against tight deadlines At least four years' experience in design, ideally with Adobe Creative Cloud, or other platforms such as Serif or Figma Experience creating content for organic social media, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest and X (Twitter) as well as newer channels such as Threads and Discord Experience in content ideation and working with a team to lead on brainstorming An understanding of social humour and the role entertainment plays in social media marketing. Experience with motion graphics (in After Effects or Photoshop) is desirable but not essential. Please get in touch if you have any questions about our diversity and inclusion policies, or about accessibility or any accommodations needed during your application process.
