We’re attracting an experienced Site SHEQ Manager to lead Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) operations at a key FMCG supply chain site. This role is essential for ensuring compliance, devising and implementing SHEQ strategies, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee site SHEQ functions, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
2. Act as the subject matter expert, advising site leadership team on all SHEQ matters, operational and strategic.
3. Partner with Engineering, Supply and Transport teams on SHEQ-related matters to drive a standard approach to safety.
4. Support on the launch and implementation of SHEQ corporate group project initiatives, ensuring that operational sites are compliant.
5. Conduct audits, incident investigations, and manage risk assessments.
6. Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety, Environment, and Quality policies in line with regulatory requirements.
7. Develop training programmes, strategies, and processes to improve Health & Safety, Environment, Quality, and Corporate responsibility performance.
8. Conduct safety meetings with relevant stakeholders across all sites.
9. Drive SHEQ training programs and continuous improvement efforts.
Role Requirements:
1. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, and experience in high-risk industry environments, ideally complex and time-sensitive FMCG.
2. Grad member of IOSH.
3. Strong communication and leadership skills.
4. Proven track record in SHEQ management within a fast-paced setting.
5. Internal auditor experience.
6. Proven experience in a health and safety management role within a medium or high-risk industry.
7. Thrive in a fast-paced, operationally challenging environment.
8. Knowledge of Logistics/Distribution/FMCG/Manufacturing sector including familiarity with materials handling equipment (MHE).
9. Self-starter and empowered to lead your site function, every day.
10. Facilities, building property, or engineering experience ideal.
11. Knowledge and experience in ISO standards including lead auditor ideal.
12. Working towards Chartered membership of IOSH.
