Job Description: The Purchasing Manager will play a pivotal role in the sourcing and acquisition of goods and services for the company, utilizing the Procure Wizard system to streamline procurement processes. This position ensures that all procurements meet the standards of quality, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness that the company requires.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives.
* Manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with contracts and resolution of issues.
* Conduct and analyse market research to identify potential vendors and suppliers.
* Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best possible prices and agreements.
* Oversee the procurement process from the initiation of a purchase request to the final receipt and approval of goods.
* Coordinate with internal departments to forecast needs and specifications.
* Manage the procurement budget and prepare cost analyses and reports.
* Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the industry's market trends and developments.
* Utilize Procure Wizard to manage purchase orders, invoicing, and supplier relationships.
* Ensure the procurement policy is adhered to and enforce the use of Procure Wizard across the business.
* Support supplier relationships as we transition onto Procure Wizard.
* Carry out all Procure Wizard training (internal and external).
* Oversee contract negotiations and source new suppliers/products where none are currently available.
* Manage any issues that arise and review all supplier price changes that fall within contracted supply.
* Ensure roles within Procure Wizard are set up appropriately for each department and in line with the procurement policy.
* Support operational cost efficiencies through detailed analysis of data.
Education and Certification Requirements:
* A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
* An advanced degree such as a master's in business administration (MBA) can be advantageous.
* Professional certifications such as the Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM).
* Relevant experience in a procurement or purchasing environment, typically 5+ years, with progressive responsibility.
Skills and Competencies:
* Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent analytical, decision-making, and management skills.
* Proficient in using procurement software and tools, particularly Procure Wizard.
* Deep understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems.
* Capability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to achieving operational efficiency.
