Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Middlesbrough
Contract: Initial 6 months
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (combination of remote and office-based work)
Hays are currently recruiting for a meticulous and dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join a client based in Middlesbrough on an initial 6-month contract. This role offers a competitive salary and the flexibility of hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities:
* Processing and managing invoices and payments
* Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records
* Assisting with month-end closing activities
* Communicating with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries
* Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required
Requirements:
* Proven experience in an accounts payable role
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
