DV Cleared Test Solutions Engineer Glasgow - Hybrid Are you interested in joining a strategic and transformative engineering team in Glasgow? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced DV Cleared Test Solutions engineer to work on ground-breaking solutions to contribute to some of the largest defence programs in the UK. In this role, you will be vital to the creation and implementation of platforms used for real-time system modelling and simulation as well as being an integral part of the System Integration, Verification and Production testing. Our Glasgow team are currently involved in numerous Military vehicle sighting projects as well as a significant UK submarine multi sensor contract. About the role: Within this role, you will be responsible for using your expertise/knowledge within the engineering domain to design, develop and support the execution of Automated Test Solutions to increase effectiveness and efficiency across the product portfolio. This will include recommending and implementing validation approaches, including developing more accurate solutions expanded across the test services. Working with product design teams, your solutions will interface coherently with SW, HW and Firmware architectures. You may also be involved in the reporting, monitoring and documenting of test results, as well as performing detailed functional measurements. You will also be required to provide support to existing ATE on site at our Glasgow facility. About You: You Have: Good analytical and problem solving skills A strong understanding of electronic components, integrated circuitry, PCB and algorithms Ability to utilise project, technical and delegation experience to actively lead the development of solutions An appreciation for high engineering standards Experience in Automated Modelling, Simulation or Test Methods Desired Experience: Electronic Engineering Degree or Relevant Discipline Experienced user of LabView, or similar applications Prior Experience/Proficiency in NI FPGA software and PXI based equipment would be an advantage Hands-on experience and skills in test equipment (such as Light sources, Oscilloscopes, data acquisition boards, amplifiers, switches etc.) Strong communication and teamwork skills Security Clearance statement Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions.
