The Company\nA well-established technology company specialising in advanced sensor solutions for high-performance industries.\n\nThe Role and Duties\nThis position offers an excellent opportunity to expand your technical expertise and develop new skills. As a skilled engineer with customer-facing experience, you will have a passion for supporting clients and guiding projects from proof of concept to final delivery.\n\nYou may have experience in roles such as Application Engineer, Sales Engineer, Product Engineer, or Support Engineer, with knowledge in areas like mobile mapping solutions, 3D points clouds, LiDAR, perception software, Linux, and networking.\n\nResponsibilities will include:\n• Providing pre-sales and after-sales support, addressing technical queries and resolving issues, including handling hardware returns.\n• Supporting various products, including LiDAR, perception software, inertial navigation, and georeferencing solutions, with potential for expansion into additional technologies.\n• Managing proof-of-concept projects and ensuring successful implementation.\n• Maintaining and updating a support ticketing system.\n• Assisting with marketing efforts by setting up demonstrations and collecting sample data.\n• Attending occasional exhibitions, customer meetings, and supplier training across the UK.\n• Standard office hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.\n\nThe Candidate\nPrior experience in technical customer support.\nStrong knowledge of Linux (particularly Docker) and networking.\nFamiliarity with LiDAR sensors and 3D point clouds.\nExperience with MQTT protocols.\nUnderstanding of inertial navigation and georeferencing technologies.\nExposure to robotics applications.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills for effective customer interactions.\nCompetent IT skills, with experience using CRM or ticketing systems being advantageous.\nSelf-motivated and proactive in supporting customers and company initiatives.\nAbility to work well within a small team while engaging with large organisations.\n\nThe Package\nSalary: £30,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications).\n25 days holiday + bank holidays + Christmas shutdown.\nBonus scheme.\nHealthcare benefits.\nCompany phone and laptop
