You’ll be at the heart of the action and oversee various sub-contractors and operative activities, working across a number of work streams within the business. Promoting and upholding Wates’ reputation for providing the highest standards of site safety, health, welfare and protection of the environment.
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Site Managers often find themselves at the heart of our Wates projects.
As a Site Management Apprentice, you will be involved in the following:
* Promoting and upholding Wates reputation for providing the highest standards of site safety, health and welfare and protection of the environment
* Contributing knowledge and skills to the delivery of the project on time, on budget and to the required quality
* Ensuring our subcontractors are delivering at the highest standards
Entry requirements
2 A Levels or an equivalent (grade DD)
GCSE or equivalent in: Maths and English (grade 4-9)
Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.

Your own transport is preferable as you may need to travel to other remote locations.
Training to be provided
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

HNC Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor through Accxel Ltd on block release.
Future Prospects
You would be looking to continue to study onto degree level and then achieve your chartership.
