Working as part of the Regimental Headquarters Team, your main responsibilities will include:
Communications. Act as Secretary of the Regimental Communications Steering Committee. Prepare and organise the Regiment’s communications plans, including managing our communications budget. Oversight and management of the Regiment's media presence. Publish Regimental Bulletins to inform the Regimental family of time sensitive information as well as creating and publishing regimental newsletters and the Regimental Journal - The Tiger.
Websites. Coordinate support for our Regimental Websites, ensuring that they are kept up to date and are sensibly policed.
Record Management. Manage the Regimental database, ensuring all legacy records are on a single system. Act as the Data Protection Assistant ensuring compliance with General Data Protection Regulations
Heritage. Act as the Museum Director for the Regimental Museum at Dover with responsibilities for running the museum, managing the staff, and reporting to the Trustees and the Regimental Heritage Steering Committee. Act as Secretary of the PWRR Museum Trustees. Support the day to day running of the Regimental Museum. Maintain oversight of the care of the memorials and graves and graves of our forebear Regiments.
Events. You will lead on the planning and delivery of Commemorative events as well as providing advice to the wider Team on all aspects of Commemoration, including Commemorative Events at home and overseas for the Civil and Military communities.
Note the nature of the role may mean you are required to attend the occasional activity in the evening or at the weekend. In the event you are required to work outside of normal hours you will be compensated for doing so.
