The three Partner Trusts (Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust and York &
Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) have an objective of creating a single procurement function to supporting the
sustainable provision of clinical and non-clinical services.
Newly formed Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative, hosted by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, will provide
procurement and supply chain services to its Partner Trusts, and may extend over time to service other bodies within the Integrated Care System.
You will work as the Head of Supply Chain across all Partner Trusts as a credible supply chain lead providing strategic advice and guidance to clinical and corporate colleagues. You will act as a trusted supply chain head encouraging collaboration between Care Groups and Procurement across all Partner Trusts to maximise procurement and commercial outcomes for the patients in our care.
You will, through the agreed policies and procedures, support the Deputy Director of Supply Chain in managing the supply chain service across multiple trusts to identify supply chain projects, saving opportunities and manage contract performance of NHS Supply Chain within the constraints of the collaborative’s strategic plan. You will provide a commercially focused, dynamic service which encourages innovation, delivers value and achieves social value and sustainability improvements for Partner Trusts.
You will investigate complex supply chain enquiries, provide advice and contribute to corporate reporting across all three trusts. You will present the procurement collaborative as a progressive, responsive and innovative group who provide new thinking which works collaboratively to positively influence others’ perception concerning the value of effective and efficient supply chain services ensuring that a cost effective work programme is developed and maintained to achieve target financial savings.
Candidates can select their base, although will be expected to attend all Trust sites to build relationships with our customers, flexible working is
promoted and you will be expected to manage own time in the most efficient way to meet deadlines and achieve objectives.
Present the procurement collaborative as a progressive, responsive and innovative group who provide new thinking which works collaboratively to positively influence others’ perception concerning the value of effective and efficient procurement and supply chain services.
Lead a team of 3 Trust Supply Chain Managers and will actively support them in with their own development needs and aspirations.
Supporting Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative in delivering its 10 aims and objectives.
