Pay, benefits and culture The salary range associated with this role is between £44,112 - £78,541 and you’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. What you’ll be doing Reporting to the Training Group Head within the Hartlepool Performance Improvement Department, the C&I Training Instructor will be responsible for delivering and facilitating both initial and refresher training for Control & Instrumentation maintenance technicians. This includes developing training materials, coordinating with subject matter experts, and managing the training programme to ensure it meets company specifications and promotes performance improvement. Key responsibilities include delivering training in accordance with defined programmes, addressing performance gaps, and responding to new equipment and operational training needs. You will also be tasked with developing and determining the best methods for delivering training content, as well as managing the Control and Instrumentation programme to maximise effectiveness. Additionally, you will provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and guidance to improve work practices, error prevention, and technical knowledge. Offering advice on training matters related to Site Licence requirements, statutory regulations, and company objectives will also be a crucial part of your role. Who you are The ideal candidate will have experience within a maintenance specialism, ideally with a Control and Instrumentation bias. Knowledge of, or experience in, the nuclear industry would be advantageous. You will hold a qualification at HNC level (or equivalent) as a minimum, in a relevant engineering or technical discipline. The applicant will be able to demonstrate clear leadership qualities, excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with both internal and external stakeholders and developing engaging training activities. Thinking creatively and excellent planning & organisational skills are key to this role through the development of materials, lesson plans and training guides to meet the needs of our teams. To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
