We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Studio Manager to join our team, performing a key role in the management support of one of our UK-based teams, and will be based out of our Southend-on-Sea office. You will need to have a minimum of 5 years experience within the print/packaging industry.
The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to help support with the management, training, development and motivation of multiple small departmental teams, including the line management of a small department/team. You will need a keen eye for detail to help ensure brand consistency. A good understanding of print and packaging is essential and an excellent understanding of working with different print processes. You need to be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure to tight deadlines as this role will be a split role between assisting the Studio Manager with day-to-day staff and studio responsibilities mixed with hands-on production at times, so you will need to be available to work extra hours. You will be using the industry-standard applications by Adobe along with the Apple operating system. Full in-house training will be given in reference to the working processes and practices we use here at JPG.
Role Summary:
• Assisting with the unplanned daily studio issues
• Liaising with multiple departments to maintain the workflow / output
• Support the teams technically
• Line management to a small department/team
• Help to drive new ideas and efficiencies through the studios
• Producing daily reports to send out to the wider business
• Tracking adhoc costs
• Prepare overtime schedule
• Monitor and help maintain consistency throughout the ranges
• At times provide hands on production training and support
• Produce print trial work when required
• Maintain our Adobe bridge filing system
• Identifying improvements
